We are excited to be serving Craft Brewing’s Belgian Pale Ale at Iguana Lodge’s Pearl of the Osa. This is a limited production beer so enjoy it while it lasts.
Belgian Pales were initially brewed to compete with Pilseners during the WWII time frame. They differ from other regional Pale Ale varieties, by traditionally being less bitter, using aged hops for a delicate hop finish, and boasting sweetish to toasty malt overtones. Unlike many beers the yeast is left in the beer. This will showcase their brilliant color range from pale straw yellow to amber hues. Most will be crowned with thick, clinging, rocky white heads.
Craft Brewing has started offering limited production draft beers including an Irish Stout, IPA, ESB (English style bitter) and a Cas flavored wheat beer. This is in addition to their signature beers, Libertas and Segua. All have been great beers and the Belgian Pale Ale is a great addition.
