Flights to Iguana Lodge

Flights to the Osa Peninsula – Fly from San Jose (SJO) to Puerto Jimenez (PJO)

Two airlines fly to Puerto Jimenez from San Jose.  Sansa and Nature Air.  Both airlines now fly from the same airport in San Jose:  Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO).

Our office is more than happy to help you book these local flights.  Contact us at info@Iguanalodge.com.

FYI – In San Jose – Sansa’s terminal is outside the main terminal to the west- with easy access (check-in one hour ahead of time).  Nature Air is accessed from the main terminal – and you must pass through international security (so leave time to get through the line which may take up to an hour and thirty minutes from check-in to departure).

Driving to Iguana Lodge

driving-to-osa-peninsula

Costa Rica is beautiful and driving to Iguana Lodge is a fun way to see the country if you aren’t in a hurry, and are up for an adventure. Even though San Jose is only about 200 miles from the Osa Peninsula, driving to the Osa takes somewhere between six to eight hours depending upon the route, the ingenuity and skill of your driver (not to mention your navigator), and happenstance. We highly recommend you do not drive at night, as the roads are neither well lit nor in great condition.
