We now have two spectacular waterfall rappelling adventures. One involves horses...and no, you don’t get to rappel down on a horse – sorry.  We also have some great cliff jumping if you are in the mood.

Everyday Adventure’s Waterfall & Cliff Rappel tour is fantastic.  Just to get to the location requires a crazy hike through the jungle with monkeys swinging over head – and you’re guaranteed to be “Muddy, Bloody, Bruised, and Sweaty” by the end of it all.

Their Treeclimb can be combined with the tour – and some of the description below is the same:

Hike through mind-bogglingly beautiful, wildlife-rich Matapalo, up the river, past the poison-tree frogs, under the monkey troops, to the spectacular 120 foot waterfall. At the bottom standing in a tropical pool, savor a shower before your tree-climb. Along your hike, Andy – fabulous guide, biologist, and joker – will steep you in rainforest lore. Although Andy doesn’t require you to eat the termites, he inspires many to do so (not me).

From there hike up, up and up.  Andy and/or his trusty guides will give you rappelling lesson, and away you go.  Experience the adrenaline rush of rappelling down a raging tropical waterfall (depending upon the season). This is a series of two rappels, with a total height 120 feet. Incredible! For waterfall rappelling, children need to be around ten years of age and able to move some thick rope to facilitate the belay. (During the dry season the waterfall may be dry so instead of waterfall rappelling, it is a cliff rappel.)

For another wild and excellent adventure: Ride horses up a valley in Matapalo & then waterfall rappel down a spectacular waterfall. This waterfall flows all year long, and guests are raving about this adventure. Incredible!
