August through October is the best time to see the Southern Antarctic Humpback Whales in Costa Rica. (Did you know that Costa Rica has the longest humpback whale season in the world?)
The Golfo Dulce cradled by the Osa Peninsula is the most popular spot for the Antarctic Humpback. With its protected waters and mix of shallow waters and deep ravines, the Golfo Dulce provides the perfect place for the Humpback gatherings.

During whale season, there is a high chance of multiple whale sightings.
