IGUANA LODGE HAS A FABULOUS NATURALIST…
AND HE KNOWS HIS FLORA AND FAUNA.

Meet Sidnar – our guide extraordinaire. Iguana Lodge is very proud of their naturalist and friend – SIdnar is one of two guides on the peninsula who has completed all paperwork to enter Corcovado National Park. He is an extraordinary guide – and he has worked here for many years. The best part about Sidnar (and there are a lot), is you never know what he has in his pockets or behind his back – or where he is off to next.
Sidnar can walk you around the trails of Iguana Lodge – sighting toucans, macaws, various species of monkeys, sloths, anteaters, etc. SIdnar is from this area, and is an excellent birder, and hiker. His English is fabulous and his passion is the flora and fauna of the Osa Peninsula. You will not be disappointed.
He also has a variety of excellent hikes throughout the Osa Peninsula, including hiking or flying into Corcovado National Park. Sidnar was raised on the Osa – he knows every trail, every gold miner and park guard, he has a lot of stories to tell. He also does excellent night hikes.
He can also guide you through Iguana Lodge’s new Native Species Jungle Trail. Enjoy the wildlife spotting with a cup coffee in your hand. Good Morning, Iguana Lodge!
